1. Scope of work
Chochin provides Japanese localization, launch pages and social content for business clients. The written proposal defines the deliverables, supported channels, limits, deadlines and any exclusions. Legal translation, legal advice, fulfilment, customs handling and influencer campaigns are not included.
2. Your responsibilities
You provide accurate product information, lawful source materials, necessary access and timely feedback. You remain responsible for your products, claims, pricing, tax treatment, shipping, customer service policies and regulatory compliance.
3. Approval and revisions
Every public-facing Japanese text is accompanied by an English or French translation for approval. Nothing is published without your approval. Two rounds of revisions within the agreed scope are included. Additional scope is quoted separately. Delayed approvals may move delivery dates.
4. Fees and payment
Fees and due dates are confirmed in the accepted written proposal before work starts. Payment is by Stripe card payment or USD/EUR bank transfer. Third-party subscriptions, advertising budgets and charges are excluded unless expressly included. No purchase or binding agreement is made through the free-sample form.
5. Monthly plans
Monthly plans begin with a minimum three-month term, followed by monthly renewal. Cancellation requires 30 days’ written notice. The proposal specifies the billing date, word allowance and how any cancellation takes effect. Unused work does not roll over unless agreed in writing.
6. Accounts and access
You own your accounts. Chochin uses delegated permissions rather than taking your passwords. You may revoke access at any time. Access should be removed when the engagement ends.
7. Intellectual property
After full payment, rights in the bespoke deliverables created for you transfer to you to the extent legally transferable. Pre-existing tools, third-party materials and their licenses remain with their respective owners. Portfolio use and case studies require a separate written agreement.
8. Confidentiality
Non-public business information and access details are treated as confidential, used only to perform the work, and shared only with authorized service providers where needed or as legally required.
9. Results and limitations
Chochin does not guarantee traffic, registrations, sales, media coverage or platform approval. Monthly reporting depends on access to the relevant analytics. Third-party platforms and their policies are outside Chochin’s control.
10. Liability
The signed service agreement must define any liability cap and exclusions. No liability is excluded where exclusion is prohibited by applicable law. This draft does not establish a liability cap.
11. Governing law and contact
